Meet the wonderful people who make CCNZ happen!
Jenni Davies - CEO
Jenni is committed to growing Kiwi kids into leaders for New Zealand, for both community and church. Since 2008 Jenni has been the CEO of Christian Camping,
but her passion began as a child participating with her family in tent evangelism crusades and outreaches in mining communities. In 1986 Jenni and her
husband Wayne (along with their two daughters) became the directors of Lake Taupo Christian Camp. Over 23 years they were instrumental in growing the site
from a cabin block and dining room, to a full outdoors and conference centre, eventually extending their camp by restoring a satellite site, Ruapehu Christian
Jenni is also the current Chairperson for the Intellectually Handicapped Society (Taupo), and both herself and Wayne volunteer with a local social group
for those with disabilities. Jenni believes that every person wants to do something to improve another person's life and that Christian Camping offers
people the opportunity to effect change in their world.
Let me introduce myself, I am Helen Marris and have worked at the CCNZ office for 6 1/2 years in the role of Office Manager and Finance. I was originally
employed by Jenni Davies while she was the director at Lake Taupo Christian Camp, with CCNZ being an additional role to that of accountant at the camp.
When Jenni resigned from that role, I decided to continue on in the role of CCNZ, but in a bigger capacity. I hence resigned from Lake Taupo Christian
Camp. For a few years it was just the two of us until this year when CCNZ expanded somewhat. I enjoy my role at CCNZ immensely and hope it continues for
some time to come yet. Today I drive 45 km from home to work usually 2-3 days a week, I have 4 grandchildren and one on the way in Brisbane. I am engaged
to Bruce Robertson, but not sure when the big day will be, it could be mid next year. My passion is for youth to come to Christ and I firmly believe that
God brought me to this family of Christian Camping as I never knew it existed prior to working here.
Alicia believes in the power of Christian Camping to change lives, grow young leaders, and impact society. With a Masters in Counselling and a history
of working with young people, Alicia delivers training and development across NZ. Alicia believes in investing and training people so that they
can pursue the potential of who they were created to be.
